Mount Richmond Heritage Wall

Construction of a reinforced concrete retaining wall with drilled support piles into rock, with a stone veneer. The works included difficult site access, Level 2 Traffic management, Stringent Heritage NZ and Watercare requirements and complex staging. All staff were trained by heritage NZ representatives on discovery protocol and observation technique, for work around the historic Pa site.

Completion Objectives:

  1. Time: The project was completed ahead of programme. And highlights our ability to expedite programmes.
  2. Budget: The works have been completed within agreed budget levels.
  3. Performance levels: All performance criteria were met on the project. The client, engineer and HNZ are happy with the way the project is being managed to date. All QA criteria are being met.
  4. Health & Safety and Environmental: The job currently has no LTI’s or First aid injuries. No environmental issues have been raised during the works.

Responsive to Client’s Needs: The client required us to amend our methodology to satisfy Heritage New Zealands requirements. This was done without impacting the programme.
