Asset Construction were engaged by Southbase Construction as the lead civil contractor to undertake works on the Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora E Tū Wairua Hinengaro – Mason Clinic forensic mental health facility in Auckland.
ACL works ran for over 2 and a half years. Our scope of works included:
Drainage –25 stormwater man holes up to 2550 diameter with pipes ranging from 100 –1200mm diameter, 30 wastewater manholes ranging from 600-1200 diameter, and over 1500 lineal meters of pipe. As part of these drainage works ACL were engaged to breakout and remove over 2000 cubic metres of basalt rock.
Utility services install –including power, communications and water, and a new backflow prevention unit.
Hardscaping - including 1150m2 of concrete footpaths with specialised oxide and varied finishes, 600m2 of Grasscrete –a specialised product for stabilisation of green spaces, two new basketball court installations with painted finishing, two Basalt rock water features – these were rocks we excavated from the beneath grounds then were installed as courtyard art sculptures, 25 pieces of custom made street furniture, 250m2 of concrete blockwork for various planted gardens around the facility, and a 832m2 roadway and carparking with 11 new car park spaces.
ACL were also engaged to complete various interior works to support the commercial build including 250 lineal metres of internal nibs for building framing, 4 slab remedials including re-welding of structural steel, 40 plinth installs in varying sizes for electrical, water and mechanical services, external plant room construction - 60m of cast in situ concrete retaining wall, 150m2 concrete slab, secure linkway 200m2 concrete footpath with foundations to support structural steel caged walkway.
